Poem for Older Sisters

Here is a poem I ran across that a friend of mine had. I thought it was great for older sisters; it reminds them that they do influence their younger sisters (or brothers for that matter) for good or for bad.

A Little Sister Follows Me
author unknown

A careful girl I want to be;
A little sister follows me.
I do not dare to go astray
For fear she’ll go the selfsame way.
I cannot once escape her eyes;
Whate’er she sees me do, she tries;
Like me she says she’s going to be—
That little sister following me.
She thinks that I am good and fine;
Believes in every word of mine.
The bad in me she must not see—
That little sister following me.
I must remember as I go,
Through summer’s sun and winter’s snow,
I’m building for the years to be
That little sister following me.

Allison,

What a sweet poem! I love it and have copied it to my computer. One day I would like to put it on a scrapbook page featuring Abbie leading her sisters in righteousness. Thanks for sharing!
