tag!

Bryant has tagged me! It's taken me a while to get this up, because I had to think of six things! :) This tag is to share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. Tag at least one person and link to the person who tagged you!

1. I’m allergic to many raw vegetables and some raw fruits. Strangely enough, I can eat steamed veggies, frozen or canned fruit!

2. I’ve been known to sleepwalk, and sleep-talk.

3. I love music that glorifies God. Piano, singing, whatever. I really dislike hard rock, rap and other stuff that to me isn’t real music.

4. I think I have “cockroach-phobia”. I REALLY don’t like cockroaches!! ;)

5. I love to read period. But one thing I enjoy doing is finding books at the library on practical subjects and studying them (photography, hair cutting, guitar, etc.). My only problem is that I attempt to read too many books at once!

6. I dislike the taste of most bottled-water brands. I like Sam’s brand though!

I tag Katlyn. She's been waiting to do this! :)

Summary of Technology Free Week

During our Technology free week, we were able to get quite a bit done. Yay! It was great to just take a break from computer and focus on more important things. We spent a lot of time as siblings playing, talking, and being productive. I had more time to read, and I did some stuff that really needed to get done or that I wanted to work on. I encourage everyone to set aside a week sometime and take a break from all the electronics that tend to steal our valuable time away, using that week to straighten out your priorities, and work on the productive and important stuff.

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16

Now for some thoughts for the future. I’ve heard that in order to “keep” visitors at your blog, it’s good to post at least 2 times a week. I guess if you visit blogs daily, that could be the case, but I find it hard to. In order to work on more important stuff and be more productive, I’m going to post about once every week or two. So you can check back about that often and will hopefully find a new post. But if you come more often than that, you probably won’t. :)

Sorry I didn't get this up sooner... but better late than never, right? :)

Poem

Okay, this week is really busy, so I'll post a poem for now, and hopefully I'll get a new post up next week! Sorry for the delay! I'll try to get a "review" of my Technology free week up by Monday!

A SON’S MOST PRECIOUS INHERITANCE
author unknown

You got it from your father.
It was all he had to give.
So it’s yours to use and cherish
For as long as you may live.

If you lose the tools he gave you
They can always be replaced.
But a black mark on your name, Son,
Can never be erased.

So make sure you guard it wisely
After all is said and done.
You’ll be glad your name is spotless
When you give it to your son.
